What you actually
use it for.

DROPKIT is a civilian payload tool. Operate in compliance with FAA Part 107 and local regulations. Don't be that person.

CASE_01// FISHING

Bait Deployment

Drop chum, bait, or rigs at precise GPS coordinates. Kayak fishermen and shore anglers use UAVs to reach spots boats can't.

CASE_02// SAR

Search & Rescue Drops

Deliver water bottles, first-aid, radios, or locator beacons to stranded hikers, lost pets, or inaccessible terrain.

CASE_03// CINEMA

Cinematic Releases

Rose petals for proposals. Confetti for reveals. Smoke pucks for action shots. The shot nobody else in your category is getting.

CASE_04// GEOCACHE

Geocaching & Courier

Plant caches in hard-to-reach spots. Drop supplies to backyard campers, beach days, or friends on the other side of a canyon.

CASE_05// AG

Hobby Agriculture

Seed balls, beneficial insect release, compost tea pods for backyard growers and permaculture projects.

CASE_06// CONTENT

Content Creation

Pranks, reveals, social media stunts. The payload release is the hook that stops the scroll. You know why you're here.

03 // Procurement protocol

How the
pre-order works.

Transparent. Explicit. No bait-and-switch. Read the whole thing before you reserve.

01
Phase I

Reserve your unit

You pay in full at checkout. Payment is held while we lock the production run. You can request a full refund any time before the MOQ is hit.

02
Phase II

MOQ triggers print

Once 100 reservations are locked, the production run begins. Each unit is 3D-printed to order in Thousand Oaks, CA using US-made PETG filament. No mass warehouse. No shipping container from overseas.

03
Phase III

Print, QC, ship

Print cycle is ~60 days for the full run (19 hours per unit). Each unit is inspected, hardware-tested, and packed by hand. You receive a tracking number the day it ships.

04
Phase IV

Fly it.

Tag @dronespace in your footage. The best clips get reposted. The worst clips also get reposted. No in-between.

04 // Frequently questioned

The hard
questions.

Real answers. The ones you'd ask in the comments and we'd reply to anyway.

Q.01Why pre-order? Why can't I just buy one?
Every DROPKIT is 3D-printed on demand. No warehouse, no overstock, no landfill. We print a run only when enough operators commit so the hardware is sourced in bulk and the labor is batched. It keeps the price honest and the quality high.
Q.02When will my unit actually ship?
Estimated ship window: 60–75 days after MOQ is hit. Each unit takes ~19 hours to print, and the full 100-unit run takes roughly 60 days of continuous production, followed by QC and packing. If we miss that window, you get a full refund automatically — no forms, no chasing. We'll update your operator email weekly with production status.
Q.03What if the MOQ isn't hit?
Every reservation is refunded in full. Full stop. No restocking fees, no "credit," no runaround. That's the whole point of running a pre-order instead of fake scarcity.
Q.04Can I return it after I receive it?
No. Each DROPKIT is printed to your order. It doesn't go back on a shelf. If a unit arrives defective we will replace it — send photos within 14 days of delivery and we'll print you a new one. That's a warranty, not a return policy.
Q.05Is this legal to fly with?
DROPKIT is a payload release tool. The legality depends on what you're dropping, where you're flying, and whether you're operating under FAA Part 107 or recreational rules. Dropping objects that create a hazard to people or property is prohibited under 14 CFR § 107.23. You, the operator, are responsible for compliance. We don't sell payloads. We sell the hardware.
Q.06Will it work with my drone?
DROPKIT is a heavy-lift accessory. Total rigged weight is up to 1.5kg (unit + payload). Your airframe needs the thrust-to-weight to handle that plus its own mass. Confirmed compatible: DJI Matrice series, Autel EVO Max 4T, heavy-lift custom quads (7"–10"), Tarot / Tattu hexacopters, agricultural platforms. Not suitable for sub-250g drones, DJI Mini/Air series, cinewhoops, or standard 5" freestyle builds. If you're not sure, message us with your airframe before ordering.
Q.07Where is DROPKIT made?
Every DROPKIT is designed, 3D-printed, assembled, and shipped from Thousand Oaks, California. Every component — the printed frame, the servos, the springs, the electronics, the hardware — is sourced from US suppliers. No overseas manufacturing, no white-labeled Shenzhen parts, no drop-shipping. When you order, a machine in California starts printing your unit.
Q.08Can I get the STL files instead?
Not at launch. The design is patented-pending and we're controlling the first production run to guarantee tolerances. Future open-source release is on the table once the first run is out the door.
